Carloway, Isle of Lewis
Carloway Mill is situated on the Westside circular tourist route of the Outer Hebrides. Carloway district is divided into eight townships: Knock Carloway, Park Carloway, Doune Carloway, Upper Carloway, Borrowston, Kirivick and Dalmore.
En route you could visit the mysterious Callanish Stones fascinating Doune Carloway Broch, unwittingly drive over the Carloway Bridge said to by one of Scotland’s oldest flyovers having been built in the mid-19th century. Then turning towards the Garenin Blackhouses, which showcase how islanders survived and lived in the past.
To reach Carloway there are three routes which connect Carloway with the main town of Stornoway.
